Creating Magickal Recipes

Hi Everyone

I am artist and author Priestess Moon, and creator of the Enchanted Spell Oracle. I’m starting a fortnightly online course on how to create your own Magickal recipes.

Come on a journey with me through the Enchanted Spell Oracle, and learn how to create simple spells using common kitchen ingredients most people have on hand. Create the life you want with clever Hedgewitch magick and even learn how to make magickal cocktails!

The Enchanted Spell oracle is a 36-card deck and accompanying guidebook that explores the world of herbs and spells and Celtic priestesses. The oracle is inspired by illuminated manuscripts and medieval herbals – which are books containing written knowledge about the healing powers of herbs and plants. Examples include Culpepper’s Herbal and the 11th century Ashmole 1431. I just love anything medieval.

In this course you will learn how to create simple charms and magickal cocktails using common kitchen ingredients that most people have on hand.

I practice Kitchen Witch magick, and for those of you who are unsure as to what a kitchen-witch is – it’s a person who uses cooking ingredients to create magick. For example; the spiritual properties of herbs, spices, fruit, flowers, salts and even vinegars are all pressed into service to create spells and potions. I like to rummage about in my pantry and find ordinary items like potatoes or toothpicks to create fun recipes and rituals.

A Kitchen Witch focuses on seeing the ordinary, as well as the divine, sacred. This involves honouring the Goddess by taking care of hearth and home, blessing daily household tasks and observing the Solstices and Equinoxes. Ideally, everyday cooking is imbibed with light and magick. I just want to point out that this is not always possible with life being as it is, but it’s good to have a life goal!

Next fortnight, we discover the power of spells as prayers.
